Pains Of Life Poem by Mathew Stewart

Pains Of Life

The pain of life has succumb this being
The pain of life will envelope him
It shall invade his mind
Take over all thoughts
And plague his dreams

The pain of life shall pass through his soul
It shall bath it in eternal torture
Make his being crumble under its weight

This pain shall take over all his love
It shall infect his emotions
Destroy all hope
Take away all justice

The pain shall then disappear
And cause all happiness to overcome his body
Until the day he is truly happy it shall not be seen

It shall hide away
Lurk in all the dark corners of his mind
And slowly it shall rise

It shall blind all thought of hope
And distinguish the joys of life
It shall burn into an eternal flame of hate

It shall obscure all sight of love
And cure all the wounded hate
And make the cauldron of disgust boil over

It shall take over his body
Take over his words
Take control of his life

It shall tear away his friends
It shall bleed away his family
It shall drown out all pleas of love

And kill all those who stand in its way
It shall set the bloody rivers off
It shall paint the streets with its coloured entity

It shall slaughter the lives of the young
It shall curse the death of the old
It shall tear away all life

It shall make the sights of evil clear
It will set fire to those who are happy
It will become all that is known

Nothing shall stop it
No light will shine
All shall be dark
All shall be dead
All shall be gone
