Painology Poem by Asma Khan

Painology

The sun was blind last night
a dusky look in its eyes
depicted the pain of brightness
it ever went through

The morning was calm today
a wordless speech in its voice
told the loss it
ever suffered

The river was restless yesterday
a rush of agony in its flow
displayed the anger it
ever had

The stars were pale last night
a murky look in their smile
uncovered the sorrows of existence,
they ever embraced

The sea was silent today
a blanket of iced emotions covered
the lifeless charm,
it ever was in

The moon was tearful tonight
a dull light encircled it's body
rendering a story of departure
it ever witnessed

The heart was broken now
many deserted moments blindfolded it's vision
carrying dead memories
it ever lived
