Overtime Poem by Danyel Samuelsen

Overtime

I realized you were a figurative character
Just laying in the sand
Your heart was beating empty
But teardrops fall onto your hand

The sky was glowing darkly
A pale black and gray
The wind was rushing loudly
All around the bay

The kids were falling in the sea
The open hungry bay
The kids were screaming all around
As they were eaten by the bay

My heart was heating heavy
This I can conclude
Your feeling seemed so empty
That's why I feel blue

My teardrops fall out of place
It plopped and always puddled
cause even though we're over
I still want to be cuddled

So sad, It describes perfectly how it feels for a girl to be broken hearted and lonely. Wonderful poem.
