Our Aging Past Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Our Aging Past

Dancing in the moonlight of our aging past, wanting to recapture
our youth once again, all the beauty and innocence that once was
ours to have and hold.

Somehow growing up, maturing, we lost touch with one another,
yet every time you were remembered with a deep and abiding love,
holding my heart in the hands of your unconditional love.

Throughout the test of time, wanting to be together, sharing
and loving, giving to one another what we promised so long ago;
if only it could be so, we two would never again part from one
another's lives, being one in the future.
