Original State... Poem by Annette Aitken

Original State...

Rating: 5.0

Original State...

Can you feel it?
the breeze,
the coolness,
starting to expel the unbearable heat
of this brand new day,
that has never been touched.
I shouldn't fight it.
I could try to feel connected
to feel euphoric in this paranoid moment,
to face my denial,
try to remain focused
in all this pretence.
To search for answers
can drive one insane,
manifesting negativity.
Until I find my way back.

To my original quality state.

A sensible poem for a world going mad with hustle and bustle to a level where most human minds are being pushed to there limits of endurance.

Now this is the kind of poem I like to read- -it makes you read carefully, listen to nuances, savor the words chosen to serve as messengers, and sit back and reflect upon what one has learned from this time spent with your thoughts. Stunning piece, Annette. 10+++++++++++++ and a place on my Favorite List

Wow, Annette, this is good. This is so relevant in today's world filled with the madness of all the news. Sometimes we need a break, a time out to come back to our original state, to find back our own peace of mind. I liked the poem very much.
