Open Too Late Poem by Leah Dodd

Open Too Late

Rating: 5.0

when smoke clung to skin like
shine on the pavement

(I couldn't sit around knowing
you were doing things like that)

tears reached my neck
and you couldn't find forgiveness
in your coffee

there were mountains between us
