Only The Music Will Survive Poem by robert ortiz

Only The Music Will Survive

In the beginning there was nothing
The earth was cold
God brought forth man
Told him to start a world
A world where things were in harmony
The man knew nothing of harmony
So god brought forth woman
And in the end there was music
And as god cast him out
The dark lord said on to him that he shell get his revenge.
As people stand at the gates of judgement
They hear the cries and moan’s of those who repent against the dark lord.
The devils laugh is loud and hard as he watches people suffering so.
Sitting out on the hot rocks of hell.
They hear him sing his song revenge.
But above all god sits and smiles.
Cause he’s playing the game he’s got things under control.
Through the universe is a song of satisfaction.
The song in which the angels sing,
To the sinners and non-sinners
God walks over to his mirror on which he can see the universe.
Looks down and sees disaster after disaster
And knows what he must do he must destroy
Everything and start over again
He’ll start over by just putting one man on earth (a new Adam)
Build a world of harmony one of love and music
And if man knows nothing of harmony
He will bring forth woman (a new Eve)
And in all the dark lord will survive.

But man can destroy him with the music
The music of the angels
The music has to be hard
The music has to be loud
Just as his laughter is,
It must be as hard as rock
So it must be rock
Rock to roll over the devil
And destroy him
So all will be saved
And in the end
Only the music will survive.
