One Story Of Christmas Poem by DOMINIC PREMPEH

One Story Of Christmas

Where are the boys who slaughtered a goat here?
They left their knife
The ecstasy of the season has blinded and deafened them
The sheer feeling of a sumptuous food this season
And fun un-end throughout
Has made them forgetful

Sure, this is a foreign festival
Imposed on us through religion
The Blackman is religious, very dogmatic, ‘he' saw
Let us celebrate, whether we know its source
Or even understand it
For we have taken the religion with which it came

Let us also never forget the story ‘he' told us
About the man whose birth and religion we are celebrating
It states that man is love and came for the poor
And for the down-trodden and the societal failures
But you inform the guys of their knife if you see them
And also remind them of the man they are celebrating
