Let the act of violence end
End with this short piece
And let us put a stop to this hatred
Even if it would not be with ease

Let all have peace
Peace that starts with an inner pact
And let all live in freedom
Freedom that dwells in justice

Let us have the forgiving heart of Mandela
That wins the war after a long fight
And the strong poise of Nkrumah
With an eye on unity at all cost

An eye for an eye will cost us all our eyes
A tooth for a tooth will bring disaster
Tit for tat will bury us all
And what shall one get if he loses his life

Let us see our people live
Live in peace and harmony
And together let us say
Live and let live
