One More Mile Poem by nikhil ian

I used to wake up with a smile
All set for another day
and for another mile..
Life just seemed so perfect
When things all went so fine
With happiness in my pocket
The entire world was mine..

It’s so weird how people make you feel
With all the games they play
And all the words they say
I was Lost in a world of dreams
which grew bigger day by day…

Why is it that time flies?
Why do people change?
Why is it that dreams crash?
Why do we feel so strange?
Why are we scared to loose?
When its not for us to choose
Why don’t we dare to try?
Why are we so scared to cry?

It hurts when..
Every moment you spent Saying every word you meant
Just Blew away like a gust of wind
And every pain you chose to bare
Every mistake you chose to spare
You work so hard just to make things better
And in the end it doesn’t even matter..

And once you have lived your fear
And drained out every bit of your tear
You hear a voice which says ‘may be its time to let it go’
With every lesson you learn, the stronger within you grow

The sun will be down and I will be gone
Just for a while and not far too long
Il be back and il b strong
Coz I got one more mile to walk along…..
