Once Upon A Sea Poem by Ajeerah Noorli

Once Upon A Sea

Rating: 4.5

Breathing the scent of the deep blue sea,
Searching and looking for the love that I couldn't see,
The wave and breeze that's soothing me,
Make me feel like life is complete.

The echo sound of seagulls awoken me,
Bringing me back to reality,
Oh no! Everything is just a dream,
The sea no longer showcase beauty,
No longer like how I expect it to be.

Mom look! Says the girl to her mommy,
"The sea is breathing and whispering to me",
"It seems so happy and giddy",
"Makes me feel like want to take it home with me".

The girl is now turning twenty,
The sea she once love is no longer mesmerizing,
Everything is just in her memory,
The deep blue sea,
That once makes her happy and giddy.

An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Lovely depiction of the destructive activities of man on nature elegantly brought forth. Thanks for sharing.
