Once Upon A Magic Poem by Cynthia Aluning

Once Upon A Magic

Rating: 4.8

once upon a time...
something happened to me
it was a wondrous thing
that could ever be
a world of make-believe,
a fantasy, dream-come-true
it was the day on the net
when I met you...

meeting you was accidental
interestingly, gone intellectual
you've gone too close but...
I failed to realize your worth
lovers kept breaking my heart
they simply come and go...
but the love I really need
is just right next to me

why do you make me
so special as you claimed?
why do you have concern
when I can't do the same?
why do we seem
to be as perfect mates...
when in fact we call ourselves
just 'Best Friends'?

I turn to you weeping
when my spirit needs a lift
just like this friendship
I treasure as a gift
you paint my life...
with colors in wide amaze
and make the world I live
...a better place

if someone would ask me
how beautiful life is...
I would lean on your shoulder,
and tell him 'like this! '
dont turn back on love
when its now in front of you
if someday you'll regret
t'was a door next to you.

A delightful tunefulness to it. Sweetness prevailing all the way through in a sort of innocent style. Loved it, Cynthia. Continue the good work. Sincerest regards, Gregory XOX

nice story, Cynthia. I'm happy you found a partner. I met my wife on an Internet discussion group, too.

Brilliant story. As it seems to be true. Love it, is such warm sentiment and flows quite naturally. It encourages my own love. Thanks.
