Ole Lordy Poem by Shadonn Clark

Ole Lordy

Sitting in this pew the smell of the perfum to cover that ol cigs smoke up lookin out over that crowd the people from my past among this ol crowd I look ahead blocking the past from haunting this ol heart of mine this ol heart around my neck proves here for you loving the sound of your words running though this ol head of mine reflecting on your words speaking turns me away from yesteryears till the time now as we pray the trails and tribulations lift and you take me to a better place
This ol girls mind wondering with the words I think of you as you as you been cut down but your beauty shines though the tears as you cry down on them ol knees bring your self up off that floor rise above the past take a few breathe n few steps dust off put that ol smile on and live your life that I know u can let your light shine though the power of your smile gets all of us though.
