Old Enemy Poem by Emmanuel Benson

Old Enemy

Long time is hard to remeber
Much attempt may be dangerous
I heard the bird singing it
Still, remebering it is difficult

As the grass grows, so i cut it
As the flowers buds, so i trimmed it
It seems to be a disturb to me
Then i said, why not i uproot it

What have i done it cried
Why do you let me into torment
What can i pay for freedom
Absolutely nothing he says

I pretend to be withered
Yet the rain brightens me
I cry in anguish
Why the thorns with the crops
