Basanta Panchami is well celebrated in Odisha, West Bengal. Hindu students of Dhaka University in Bangladesh celebrate Saraswati Puja in Jangannath hall and there it is very famous. You have excellently expressed your view of devotion in this heart touching song poem....10

ଏହି କବିତା ତଥା ଗୀତଟି ଭାରି ମଧୁର ଓ ଚମତ୍କାର ହୋଇଛି । ମାତା ସରସ୍ବତୀ କୃପା କଲେ ଯାଇ ଜଣେ କବି ହୋଇ ପାରିବେ। ଏହି କଥା ନିତ୍ୟାନ୍ତ ସତ୍ୟ କଥା । ଏହି କବିତା ଟି ହୃଦୟାୟ କୁ ଛୁଇଁ ଯାଉଛି । ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହା ପଢି ପ୍ରୀତ ହେଲୁ ।

Today is the day of Basanta Panchami. We have prepared garland of flowers. Decorating flowers I have made garland for you, oh dear Goddess, giver of Vidyaa. Oh dear Goddess Mother, you accept our offer of holy palm of flowers. Though, I am unable to follow our original Odia offering at the feet of Goddess Saraswati, I could grasp your feelings of devotion through your detailed Notes. A fine dedication to Goddess Saraswathi.... the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. Saraswathi pooja is done with ostentation in most of the parts of our country! Let her wipe away illiteracy and superstition!
