October Night

Misty cities,
In darkness’s glow,
Ghouls of fate,
Follow below,

Abstract light,
Of birds that flee,
Deep squares of yellow,
In all we see,

Black cat, it relaxes,
With a happy grin,
Colors starting to drift,
The animal’s kin,

Leaves, crisp crunch,
On hollow ground,
Flourishing tricks,
A howling hound,

Vigorous nights,
The owl’s watchful eye,
Impromptu changes,
Destin to fly,

Orange pumpkin, it sits,
As a glistening star,
The universe freezing,
Hidden, deep inside, a memory jar.
