Numb Poem by Mikayla Haberbosch

Numb

Surrounded by people,
She is so alone.
She lays in her bed,
Numb to it all.
She thinks to herself,
How nobody knows,
Her tears, her scars, her broken soul.
She crys at night,
And smiles by day,
Hoping that no one,
will notice the way,
she bites her lip to stop the tears,
or the way her eyes are full of fear.
Her face is fake,
And so is she.
A double life is what she leads.
But her mask,
Will never last,
As people soon start to see,
The person that she tried so hard not to be.
