They tell her she has potential,
If only she would apply herself.
They tell her she has a gift,
If only she could see it.
They tell her she’s smart,
If only she would use her head.
They tell her she can do anything,
If only she would try.
If only …

If only she could find a way,
To see herself as they see her,
Then maybe,
Just maybe …
She could be what they want her to be.
