Faces Poem by Mikayla Haberbosch

Faces

She lays on her bed,
And the memories come.

She closes her eyes,
As the tears start to fall.

Her heart beats fast,
At the faces she sees.

Faces once loved,
Now only recalled.

Her head in her hands,
She thinks to herself,
That nobody knows,
The friends that she’s lost.

As she drifts off,
She repeats their names.

Names of ones loved,
Now only recalled.
