Now It's Alone That I Do Mourn About You Poem by Gert Strydom

Now It's Alone That I Do Mourn About You

When big-eyed in the morning,
you do kiss me with soft hot lips,
do have the first conversation of the day,
it's magic that you do to me.
When you do wake me from my blissful sleep,
for lingering moment do look at me,
with your soft voice and kiss upon kiss
past enchanting you do look picture-perfect,
then I know you are woman,
that I am blessed to be with you.
Now it's alone that I do mourn,
the coming loss of you is my greatest fear,
while you do put our marriage on hold
and do replace me with who or what.
