Not Lonely Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Not Lonely

Not lonely
Sunday,13th June 2021

I am not lonely
but own the solitude daily
it comes to me from the despair
that can't be easily repaired

my heart beats for Love
and believes
in its existence
yet, it makes me tense

I have a strong desire
and admire
my capability
But alas! The wings have a total inability.

I bank on no one
and share the grief with anyone
I have no shoulder to lean
and weep to remain unseen

I needed a close ally
friend and dearly
who can solace me in crisis
and insist on not to lose

I know dry season may soon end
and send me a fragrant air
to take me away from far-off places
and grant me a smiling face
