Noise Poem by Steve Gregory

Noise

Noise

Do you hear it?
The noise of calamity?
The noise of creations demise?
Stop!
Listen!
The still small voice
Or can you only hear the storm?
The thunderous roar
The crowds call
The crashing trees
The heaving seas?
Stop! Listen!
The still small voice
Be
Still
The heaving seas
The crashing trees
The crowds call
The thunderous roar
Be
Still
And
Know
The crashing, heaving, thunderous roar
Of Creation
That I AM
Thundering, heaving, crashing
GOD!
STOP! !
Be Silent
Listen
For the still small
Voice
Be still
And know
God.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem came in a dream! I had been reading Psalm 46 and verse 10 says 'Be stilland know that I am God...' and I guess that inspired me to write this....
