Nobody Finds God In The Sunshine Poem by Dean Bottomlley

Nobody Finds God In The Sunshine

Nobody finds God in the sunshine.
A Saviour to spoil the fun.
A reason to think of the future
Just when the present's begun!

When life is a bowl full of cherries
Days filled with nothing but joy.
Surrounded by friends that you care for
And your happy in your employ.

It's different when clouds start to gather
And things are going down hill.
When friends and companions desert you
And you find you can't pay the bill.

Then you reach out for the Father.
On a spiritual quest you embark:
That should have begun in the sunshine.
It's harder to see in the dark.
