Mankind justifies his zoos,
because it's all his fault
He's the one killed off the beasts;
this slaughter it must halt.
His greed and his arrogance
have decimated herds.
Buffalo roamed by millions;
I cannot find the words.
The passenger pigeons soared
and darkened up the skies.
Now they are all gone as well.
Who knows the how's and why's?
If man would stop his killing,
some species could come back,
Then we would not need those zoos;
I'd like to see that lack.
