Obituary - Leonard Nimoy Poem by Terry Hoffman

Obituary - Leonard Nimoy

The name of Leonard Nimoy
will ring through the stars.
It will be remembered
from Jupiter to Mars.

A bleak 27th day
February of '15.
He's passed beyond our ken,
never more to be seen.

He died in California
of chronic heart disease.
It's what took him from us.
Now he is at his ease.

Although his great portrayal
Of the Star Trek alien, Spock,
Will always be remembered,
‘Twas not his only stock.

He was friend to hoards of fans,
But wore those other hats:
Actor and director,
For those he got most pats.

Photographer and poet,
Writer and teacher, too.
Husband and a father,
That only those close knew.

Stage performer, singer,
That about says it all.
Now his life is over,
He's responded to the call.
