Savings Stamps Poem by Terry Hoffman

Savings Stamps

Rating: 4.0

Green stamps and gold stamps,
do you remember?
The bane and delight
of the female gender.

Rush out to the store
On double stamp day,
to fill up your cart
without any delay.

Then to the gas pump
to fill up the tank
Compliments of your
Gas jockey, Big Hank.

Now hustle back home
and get out your books.
Lick ‘em and paste ‘em
and fill all the nooks.

Then comes that big day
Your books are all full.
Redeem for your treasures
and enjoy the lull.

THEN START ALL OVER!

This poem reminds me of my mom. She would save these stamps religiously. Then when it was time to redeem them she would get so excited. I enjoy reading all your poems! I also like the pictures that are attached at the end. Thanks for sharing your poems.
