No Words To Speak Poem by Jacob Hill

No Words To Speak

Rating: 5.0

In the night I sit and stair among the stars I see you there
Without a word said to me I hear your voice- no empathy
Within the words never muttered uttered the words- 'your destiny'
In this thought I smile up to you
'Death himself'- I knew it true
'You've come for me? '- without a doubt
'it has to be' his mouth hath spout
As I look to him to see his grim boney face with glee-
I notice that was not the case to be-
His look- was sad, and alone nor was his face made out of bone..
He was just a normal guy one just like you and I
He looked of pain and about to cry
And when I asked him why this was
He said 'I didn't get a choice..
Nobody does'
Then we went off to hell with this story wordless I tell

Wow this is so powerful. Poetry at its finest. Great structure, imagery and heartfelt reading. Fantastic. I just wrote one similar theme if you want to check it out - 'The day that Grandad died'.
