No Turmoil Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

As small village with natural beauty
We had no place to spend time when not busy
The village had no electricity but only darkness
There was news that village shall have new face

The whole of village was excited
The population was thrilled delighted
The switch was put on and whole village was illuminated
Each corner was shining and lighted

Only railway station had tube lights
Since it was central railways point
It was only place to go for walk in late evening
The train too was meanwhile arriving

We had simple wish for light
We were unable to study due to light
The lantern was only our hope
We were studying hard to remain on top

We remember still natural environment
Even though the village was connected to traffic point
The people were down to earth and peaceful
We had never witnessed any turmoil
