No To Violence Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

“Kill all those who are in our area”
“Spare not life even if they make pleas”
Innocents, old children and women
Not to be let off as this is good omen

Such nonsense utterance comes to take place
When ethnic cleansing and hatred replace
Peaceful atmosphere with dirty politics
No dead can be counted even with statistics

Why such incidence come to fore al the times?
Is it the only alternative as our goal prime?
Why not put to an end this ugly game?
Leave with time and earn the fame

Who are we to take care for?
Is it the land that we have not known this before?
Is it not the hospitability that is provided?
Clashes within our reach that can be avoided

Why we unnecessarily interfere and meddle?
Why not conciliatory and approach middle?
We live as true natives and sons of the soil
Any ill move counter with force, thwart and fail

People with vested interest may add fuel to fire
Inflame the mind with propaganda and goons hire
Relentless efforts to destabilize and not to tire
With calm and patience efforts to admire

Not to fall prey to any game and temptation
No credence to rumours and easy excitation
Peaceful inhaling and meaningful exhalation
Calm composure and only necessary revelation

It is better to fail grand design
No attoricity on any and orderly resign
Address to self for uphill task and assign
Shun the violence and co -existence sign
