No Right To Life Poem by Kevin Condron

No Right To Life

I take a breath, the air is cold
Fluids pass through me and I have awareness
A nervous twitch, a shudder and I blink my eye
A stretch a yawn, awaking from my sleep

Then all at once the sky has gone
A constant motion by my feet
I turn my head but all is blurred
I`m frightened

And then I move against my will,
An ugly smell is all around
I want to run, I freeze in dread
I`m just a calf
And something cold & hard is pressing at my head
