Stephen Ward Poem by Kevin Condron

Stephen Ward

A dance through life as if it's just a game
Assumed like minded people felt the same

To grab at life and shake it by the tail
To win by dreams ignore all chance to fail

But paths grew steep and caverns then appeared
The crowds that once were laughing simply jeered

The dancer fell, left broken still and prone
Friends are gone, abandoned, you're alone

Exhausted as you hold a final breadth
But is it true? you chose a final kiss of death
