No Is Your Name Poem by Hebert Logerie

No Is Your Name

You never tell me yes
You think I'm a pest
No is your name
You call me a chicken
When my eyes are wet with pain
You do not love me, my queen
Is it because of the texture of my appearance?
Anyway, I'll take my chance
All day and night. I am the son of the sun
Even if you don't see me when you rise and shine
And when the owls go to bed
I'm here, there, present, not too far from your crib
I am a brave and formidable soldier
Who will always be available to your desire
No is your name, my sugar
You are my hope and my treasure
A day like today
My Madonna, you will say yes.
