Nagamani, The Story Behind The Myth Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Nagamani, The Story Behind The Myth

From which cave of sadhna
The light is emitting,
The light of sadhna
Lighting?
Where Shiva
From whose matted hair
The Ganges flowing?
Whose Third Eye Power
Awakening?
It's sadhna,
All but sadhna,
Shiva-sadhna,
And the Nagamani,
The Shiva gemstone,
The lingam flashing,
The cobra testing the sadhna,
Kalbhairava supernatural passing through
To take the ordeal,
Nagamani is but
A meditation about the lingam,
Shiva and his snake,
The lingam lighting,
Shiva meditated through
The darkness,
The dark myth of the lingam
And his snake, kaal-rupa,
Dark and doom imagery.
