My Way Of Life Poem by David Thomas

My Way Of Life

If i were to die, let me die freely and of my own accord.
If i am to live, let me live unconditionally and for as long as i choose.
If i am to fear, let me pick the fears i wish to overcome the most.
If i am to be weak, give me the strength to compensate, and the drive to become greater.
If i am to experience, leave me no control over what i meet throughout life.
If i am to feel, let me feel as i will.
If i am to dance, let me be as limber and crazed as desired.
If i am to fall in love, let it be forever and happy.
If i am to be a fool, then let me be the greatest of all fools.
If i am to make a difference, then let me say by god i already am
