Anti-Armageddon Poem by David Thomas

Anti-Armageddon

Rating: 3.0

I see you, i see me
we're living together you see,
and we're ever so happily
making the best
of two great people,
when we wrestle it's playful
when we fight it's meaningful
when we kiss it's delightful
and when we fall asleep at night,
your silky smooth arms across my chest-
i cannot imagine a better kind of
pure...beautiful moment, feeling, intensity...
i wish to sleep with you in bed,
but above the most of it all
even more than the
sweetest of the sweet sensations,
i wish to feel your lips on mine
gently, as we wake from our peaceful slumber
to find that once more,
we're both alive for another
exceedingly brilliant day.

that is what i wish for,
when my world is falling away
and i'm stuck here standing still
atop the greatest mountain of decay.
