My Time Of Death Poem by spiritual seeker

My Time Of Death

Rating: 5.0

Today I witnessed another death,
That reminds me again the subject of death,
How much more of my life is left,
Am I ready for my time of death?

I don't want to die like a coward,
Too young either and missed all the fun,
Or live too long and be a burden to others.

To some, they belief death is a finality…
Like the free birds and bees,
You live, died, rot and vanished with no responsibility.

But the signs are too clear for us to ignore...
That this brief life on earth has a purpose greater,
That I refuse to gamble this life shorter,
Like a useless game of poker.

I often dreamed of a death perfect,
Where I will die in the embrace of my loved ones,
When I leave there will be no debts,
yet most are clueless on how to get.

Oh, how I wish I could choose my time of death...
but I can't!
Even if I hide in the strongest castle,
Death will certainly find.

Like an unborn baby, death is a gateway to another life,
For God only knows, the Most Wise,
If there is a moment I can please Him,
That I wish, will be my time of death.
