My Prayer Poem by Cheyenne Ringuette

My Prayer

Be my ship
Be my shore
The lock and key to my cellar door
Please...keep me from fading

Be my ocean
Be my sky
A gentle whisper when roaring waves collide
Please...keep me from falling

Broken, beaten, burned, and bruised
When I'm forgotten; when I'm used
When life's purpose seems out of reach
Be the anchor to which I cling

Lord, be my everything
