My Pain Poem by Yvonne Allsop

How can one man make me feel,
As if I wasn’t there.
I wanted him to care for me;
But he just didn’t dare.
Our life seemed happy, free and gay;
He made my sunshine smile.
But he was looking how to leave,
He deceived me all the while.

The pain I feel, after our brief life,
Is hard to put in words.
I ache inside and want to die;
My sunshine has no smile.
He won’t be back, I know that’s true;
But that won’t stop me wishing you,
Would take a chance with me.
I hurt my love as you must know.
I’m really missing you!
