My Children Poem by Yvonne Allsop

My Children

Rating: 5.0

The very first time I saw you,
And took you in my arms;
I knew that as your mother,
I would cause no harm.

I cherished you with laughter.
I taught you right from wrong;
And you are forever my daughter,
And you are always my son.

I glow with pride and honour,
That you came here to stay.
You are my proudest moment;
I love you in every way.

I gave you wings so you could fly.
I gave you grounds to see
That where you fly, or whenever,
You are the best to me.

That is really beautiful Yvonne and something tells me it's gonna be very popular with a lot of people. Great poem, well done.
