Goodbye my darling lover,
I must walk away.
Goodbye my handsome lover,
I know I cannot stay.

I cannot stay and feel the hurt,
That you gave out to me.
I cannot stay and live my life,
As I would care to do.

You didn’t give me hope and joy,
A passion for our life.
You didn’t give me loyalty;
But pain and grief and strife.

Goodbye my darling lover,
I know you’ll start anew.
I hope you find a lover,
Who’s just the same as you.
