My Lying Silence Poem by Cory Fox

My Lying Silence

Condemned eternally to view
Prisoner of my own device
Because of my respect for you
For I refuse to tempt fate twice
I'm sorry that you never knew
But this has always been the price
Accepting nothing more to do
Than be our unseen sacrifice
