Fragments And Run-On Sentences Poem by Cory Fox

Fragments And Run-On Sentences

'I pray for you more than me
Now life is never dull
The two of us have worlds to see
I think you're beautiful'

In the tracks we've left behind
Are the notions that I've spun
Out of all those you'd chance to find
Somehow I became the one

'I always feel like crying
When I hang up with you'
Silence follows the last ring
I feel like crying too

'I'm worth nobody's while, '
Such a tangled web we weave
Stop. Step back. Smile
You're doing fine, just breathe

Another fight follows the day
'Our faith will see us through
But if your strength should ebb away
Then I will carry you'

Who's pried my eyes wide open?
Showed me a dancing sky?
Who's kept my hopes a-hopin'?
Without you, who am I?
