My Family Poem by Marilyn Lott

My Family

Nothing is more important to me
Than my family all together
I love every single one of them
Mom, dad, sister and brother

We have a history that we share
Talk about from time to time
If one of us forgets
Another one can remind

Hard work was what we all did
In a country way of life
Where couples would meet
And then were husband and wife

Children brought into the world
Were taught to have respect
Love of God was so important
Oh yes, so much to reflect

Babies created such happiness
And brought families together
Working side by side
No matter what kind of weather

So my family is most important
As I look through photographs
I ponder with every single one
Yes, hardships but so many laughs!
