My Dream Home Poem by Marilyn Lott

My Dream Home

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever wanted to live in luxury
In a mansion with style throughout?
I wonder what it would be like
I’d feel important without a doubt

My house would be so big, you know
I would have to hire a maid or two
A doorman would be a necessity
To answer the door for you

Of course I would have stables
And beautiful horses with pedigrees
I would travel the world as well
Do anything that I please

My cook would be in the kitchen
Creating meals for my every whim
She would serve me when I was hungry
Fill my coffee cup right up to the brim

The landscape of my dream home
Would be in Architectural Digest
They would take lots of pictures
Because my home would be the best

But for now I’ll be content
I’m not meant to have luxury, it seems
But that’s okay, folks
It’s a wonderful sort of dream!
