MY DAUGHTER Poem by Claude Esteban

MY DAUGHTER

My daughter, my sweet
we would be so well

among the shucked shells
seeing nevermore

the trees which climb
would have cares

but we in the earth
would sleep better

my daughter, my sweet
I waited too long

tell me that you love me
I listen, I come.
