It’s nice to know
someone’s there for you.
A form of support and inspiration
that is constantly available.
The people, who can be completely honest with you
and you with them.
A sense of protection,
a blessing.
That although is not in disguise
we take for granted.
It is ever present
but we see right through it.
That blessing is:
Family.
Not everyone is lucky enough
to be close to their family;
their whole family.
Cousins are more like brothers and sisters
Aunts and Uncles, motherly and fatherly figures.
A profound togetherness
Each other’s sadness and happiness
becomes everyone’s.
But it is the individual people and their characters
that make it so.
In our Family, you Phupu
are a beacon of strength.
You have faced and overcome
Insurmountable odds
and yet have always maintained
a bubbly and joyful exterior.
Your smile, lights up the room
wherever you go,
and you radiate warmth and love.
The way you care for others and
are passionate about your work
is inspiring.
We as your nieces, hope we do you proud
