Mr Darhiyal, A Talk With The Sire & Other Poems

Mr Darhiyal, A Talk With The Sire

How are you,
Sir? ,
Said I to him
On marking his
Long-long beards
Grown recently
In whose response,
Said he to me,
I am fine
Adding to,
How are you? ,
After placing his
Hands
On the beards
Stroking it nicely
To take leave of from
With bye,
See you again
The next day!

The Bride

The shy, coy mistress
On the palanquin
Going
Borne by the bearers
Going
And singing
A folksong.

The Heroine

The actress from Bombay
In the sunglasses
Smiling
And going.

ADrunkard

Fallen on the lonely roads
Talking with stray dogs
The stories of life,
What has this life,
What has this world to him?
