Though not directly descriptive of Mount Fuji (usually the first image that comes into one's mind when they think of Japan) , in only twenty words you have vividly described the fascination that one feels when seeing this magnificent mountain for the first time. Only one other mountain that I can think of and compare it to is the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, which has inspired much literature itself. Carl.

i walk up mt fuji from gotemba trail sleep at station 10 on the open. we built bonefire all night long to watch the crimson sun in the morning... that was marvelous. you should be there to see it on august. i have my walking stick stamp at each station and ring the bell on top and make a wish it came through but i forgot to add forever. lol. thanks.md
