Mother's Wish Poem by Darlene Walsh

Mother's Wish

Rating: 2.5

If one wish only you give free
Best of all a mother be

To bring a new life you see
Is most precious that can be

New life dear that comes to be
From love cherished given to thee

All the water in the sea
Can not equal God's gift free

Mother's love in first degree
Mother best is what I see

Is treasured boy life's first key
Or a lovely girl busy as a bee

A Mothers wish is in my heart
In nine months a new life start

Hello Darlene. Thought I would read another of your poems. That's a nice one for Mother's Day! I have several mothers poems on this site, you might enjoy the one titled, I was Going To. Blessings, Loyd

It is said that the greatest measure of success is how well your children speak of you when with their own friends. To mothers round the world....Happy Mother's Day. On a sadder note, may those 200+ kidnapped young girls in Nigeria, be rescued and returned to the loving arms of their mothers. Your poem is beautiful and ever true! I am certain, when comes your time, you will be wonderful! PEACE

Indeed the greatest measure of success is how well your children speak of you when with their own friends. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there struggling to make the world a better place for their kids. I am certain you will be wonderful, when comes your time. PEACE
