Most Of What We Do In Life Poem by Shalom Freedman

Most Of What We Do In Life

Most of what we do in life
And in the world
Is not known
And above all not remembered
So much of value and feeling
Given by so many
Is simply forgotten
Oblivion is the reward
For most lifetimes of struggle
And eternal silence
The meaning and shape
Of most of what has been done
In our names.
